What is SafeLink India?
SafeLink India is a free, lightweight emergency information website built so anyone in India can reach critical emergency information within seconds on any connection. It works on 2G networks and low-end devices, providing emergency phone numbers and disaster safety guides for all 36 states and union territories in 10 Indian languages (English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Punjabi). Every page is designed to load fast when it matters most.
Our Team
SafeLink India is built by Atharva Kulkarni (ServerLord) as a solo open-source project dedicated to helping people access emergency information when they need it most. Learn more at serverlord.in or atharvakulkarni.link. Contributions and feedback are welcome.
Data Sources
Emergency information is compiled from four primary sources: SACHET (System for Advisories and Alerts by Central and State Agencies for Hazard Mitigation), NDMA's disaster alert platform at sachet.ndma.gov.in; IMD (India Meteorological Department) for weather and cyclone warnings at imd.gov.in; NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority) for safety guidelines and advisories at ndma.gov.in; and State Government Portals, specifically individual State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) websites, for state-specific emergency helplines and local information.
Disclaimer
Emergency numbers and information displayed on SafeLink India may become outdated as governments update helplines and services. Always verify critical numbers through official sources before relying on them in an emergency. SafeLink India is an independent information resource and is not affiliated with any government agency. In a life-threatening emergency, call 112 (India's national emergency number).
